Frequently asked questions
What level do I need to be?
You should be able to ski on your own on groomed runs. From there I adapt everything to you – from getting back into it to advanced technique.
Do I need my own lift pass and equipment?
Yes, lift pass and equipment are not included. I'm happy to recommend where to rent.
Where do we meet?
Usually at an agreed lift in Åre, but it's flexible.
Do we ski off-piste?
Lessons stay on the piste. When conditions allow, we can ski the terrain right next to the runs. If you want real off-piste skiing, get in touch and I'll recommend a certified mountain guide.
Can the lesson be in English?
Yes, I coach in both Swedish and English.
What happens in bad weather or if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 24 hours before your lesson and you get a full refund. After that, 50% is charged – or we rebook free of charge to another day. If you fall ill, let me know before the lesson and we'll find a new time. If the lifts close or the weather is unsuitable, you choose a new time or a refund. Groups can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before. Read the cancellation policy.
What is Carv, and do I need it?
Carv is a set of sensors you attach to the outside of your ski boots. It measures how you load and edge your skis in every turn, and the app gives you instant feedback and a score, Ski:IQ. You don't need Carv for a lesson – but if you have it, we'll gladly look at your data together. Read more at getcarv.com.
Do you use video and Carv?
Yes, in sessions with a technique focus we film your skiing and go through it together. If you have your own Carv we'll look at your data too – but you don't need it for a lesson.
